Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance, Health Enabled led, Evaluation and Cost Effectiveness study of OpenLMIS use in Nigeria, 2024

BroadImpact has been contracted as local evaluation partner of Health Enabled for the in-depth evaluation and cost-effectiveness study of OpenLMIS in Nigeria. The OpenLMIS is implemented by the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency in collaboration with the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI). This study, commissioned by Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance, as part of the monitoring, evaluation, and learning of their Digital Health Information (DHI) Strategy 2022-2025, is intended to generate evidence of the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of electronic Logistics Management Information Systems (eLMIS). The eLMIS is a key priority within the Gavi DHI Strategy and within NPHCDA’s Digital Health Information for Immunization and PHC roadmap.

End of Project Evaluation of Unitaid’s COVID-19 Investment, 2024

BroadImpact was contracted as a local evaluation partner of the Cambridge Economic Policy Associates (CEPA) to support the end-term evaluation of Unitaid’s COVID-19 investments in Zimbabwe. This evaluation aims to assess the extent to which Unitaid's contributions have shaped the COVID-19 response and to gauge their sustainability beyond the emergency phase. It also seeks to extract valuable lessons and recommendations to inform Unitaid's future endeavors in pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response (PPPR), as well as its ongoing support for diagnostics and medical oxygen provision. 

Global Fund Strategy Review, 2023

BroadImpact was contracted by Global Fund, as part of a consortium led by the Cambridge Economic Policy Associates (CEPA). The Strategic Review 2023 (SR2023) aims to assess the extent to which the 2017-2022 strategy have been achieved; the contribution of the Global Fund’s initiatives, policies, systems and processes to ensuring the relevance, coherences and effectiveness; and provide actionable recommendations towards implementation of the 2023-2028 strategy and planning processes for Grant Cycle 8 (GC8, 2025-28). BroadImpact is leading ccountry case studies in 5 countries (Nigeria, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Africa and Zambia)

Baseline Evaluation of UMC Global Mission's Abundant Health Project, 2023

BroadImpact was contracted by Global Missions Office of the United Methodist Church to conduct  the Baseline Evaluation of the Abundant Health Project in DRC.

End of Grant Evaluation of the Unitaid and Global Fund New Nets Project, 2022-2023

BroadImpact was contracted by fhi360 to conduct landscaping local non-governmental organisations providing in Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

BroadImpact and its partner CSK Research were contracted by CyLab Africa to conduct research on "Exploring Practices and Habits of Mobile Money Users in Africa and their Implications on Cybersecurity and Financial Inclusion" in Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania.

End of Grant Evaluation of the Unitaid Funded CHAI CARAMAL & MMV Supply Grants

BroadImpact conducted the end of grant evaluation of the CARAMAL (Community Access to Rectal Artesunate for Malaria) project implemented by Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) and Output 3 of the Supply Grant implemented by MMV (Medicines for Malaria Venture) in DRC, Nigeria and Uganda.

Health Workforce Development Program for SPHCDA in Niger & Yobe States, Nigeria

BroadImpact was engaged by Clinton Health Access Initiative to implement a 6 months’ workforce human resource development program in Niger and Yobe States Primary Health Care Agencies in Nigeria to strengthen immunization outcomes for Women and Children. The project involved the designing the workforce program, development of a monitoring and evaluation framework for the project, organizing workshops, trainings and management retreats, engaging and building capacity of Government and agency staff on human resource development, developing HRM policies, SOPs, templates and tools and supporting change and implementation of the new HRM system.

BroadImpact was engaged by Clinton Health Access Initiative to conduct trainings for 300 Expanded Program on Immunization managers on project management, and project communication in 2 states in Nigeria. This project involved the development of a training strategy, plan and training schedule, the implementation of a training approach and training schedule and a facilitator coordination plan, the facilitation of practical based competency trainings to 300 managers in 2 states, the administration and scoring of training assessments, capture of basic participant’s information and the development of training reports .

BroadImpact provided a lead international consultant to Clinton Health Access Initiative to design, plan and coordinate curriculum review and capacity building for about 500 community workers on maternal new-born heath and family planning community referral and emergency transport systems in 3 States in Nigeria. The assignment involved the review of training curriculum to capture family planning and maternal new born help components in emergency transportation, the planning and the coordination and roll out of the training to 500 community workers in 3 States.

BroadImpact was engaged by the Open Society Foundations along with Social Change Factory and Partners for Peace to conduct youth mapping in 33 African countries namely; Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Botswana, Cabo Verde, Cameroon, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tunisia, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The project was aimed at producing a rich resource on youth social movements and policy spaces at national, regional and continental levels in Africa. BroadImpact Consulting was responsible for the mapping exercise in 13 African countries namely - Algeria, Botswana Ethiopia, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Seychelles, South Africa, Tunisia, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe, and building an interactive online platform and dashboard for youth groups data visualisation and geographical mapping.

BroadImpact worked with the African Union Commission and UNICEF to evaluate the AU’s Campaign to End Child Marriage in Africa. This assignment involved the engagement of African Union teams -Department of Social Affairs (DSA) and the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), UNFPA, UNICEF,  partners and member state representatives, the collation and analyses of data from 54 member states campaign progress submissions, key informant interviews of country and partner focal persons, the organisation and the development of a 2 year report (2016-2018) for the campaign to end child marriage detailing the status of child marriage, the campaigns impact, and recommendations for the campaign to achieve its objectives.

Compendium of Marriage Laws in Africa

BroadImpact’s lead international consultant for UN Women, Addis Ababa- working with the African Union Commission conducted literature review and secondary data research on 55 African Union member states progress on ratification and implementation of charters and treaties on the rights of the Child, and legal frameworks legalizing child marriage towards the development of a compendium of child marriage laws in Africa. The compendium highlights countries implementation of the rights of the child and legal frameworks, implementation of the campaign to end child marriage recommendations for marriage laws and minimum age for marriage in Africa and was presented to Ministers of Gender at the AU High level Summit on Women. Mid-Term Evaluation of the AU Campaign to End Child Marriage

BroadImpact’s lead international consultant for UNICEF working with the African Union Commission, the AU Campaign to End Child marriage and partners conducted research to assess the Status of Child Marriage in African countries and evaluated the AU’s Campaign to End Child Marriage in Africa. This assignment involved the engaged African Union teams -Department of Social Affairs (DSA) and the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), UNFPA, UNICEF and partners and member state country representatives, the collation and analyses of data from 54 member countries campaign progress submissions, key informant interviews of country and partner focal persons, the organisation and facilitation of progress update workshops, the analysis and management of data, and the development of a 2 year report for the campaign to end child marriage detailing the status of child marriage, the campaigns impact, and recommendation for the campaign to achieve its objectives.

M&E Framework for the AU Campaign to End Child Marriage

BroadImpact’s lead international Consultant for UNICEF working with the African Union Commission, and the AU Campaign to End Child marriage to developed a Monitoring and Evaluation Framework for the African Union’s Campaign to End Child Marriage in Africa (CECM). This involved the engagement African Union teams -Department of Social Affairs (DSA) and the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), and UN bodies and other partners, the development of a logic model and M&E framework for the campaign, developed set of indicators for monitoring and evaluation of the campaign, developed reporting forms and tools for the routine reporting by 54 member countries and training guidelines and documents for use of the framework. This M&E framework presently guides all Africa member states in routine reporting on progress on the campaign to end child marriage.
